Once again, I'm eating my words. If I thought Monday's 28oC was hot, the couple of extra degrees (plus a bucket of humidity) made Thursday's run a real challenge. Aside from just feeling hot, the extra humidity made the temps oppressive.
Graffiti as I pass through a tunnel, heading out towards the trail. I did have to wait a fair while and feign the fumbles to get this guy to walk into my shot!
Glad to be back on the trails after a couple of runs on the roads.
Bright sun penetrating the canopy
Long eucalyptus leaves add a touch of red to the trail.
Down in the valley, the buildings tower above me. Unfortunately the midday sun is beating straight down, so the buildings don't provide much relief.
I often see people collecting and drying this type of flower, but I have no idea what it's used for!
A hot hot run, and I was still sweating half an hour after I finished, despite the cold shower! With the return of the fierce summer sun I'm tearing through sunscreen supplies, and upon return I downed 2L of water to recharge supplies... Just another tropical lunchtime run.
Sweatin' it out on the trails
