Three days out from the 15km Trail race and I thought I should have an easy-ish 10km run to stretch my legs and get me prepared. The weather certainly wasn't playing ball, with one of the haziest days I've seen in a long time, but hopefully things will improve before Sunday.
I decided on the 10km down to and around Hang Hau.
Looking down towards Po Lam as I coast down the road. Looking pretty hazy!
Drying clothes beside the bicycle track I run along. The practice of hanging your (clean) laundry out in public is quite common in the more Chinese parts of town.
Paved paths make for easy running
Sprawling roots
Looking out at the hazy vista
I kept trying to slow myself down and take it easy but ended up with a not bad time for the conditions and route. The run wasn't quite as exhilarating as Tuesday's jaunt, but not a bad bit of prep for Sunday's race. Now just a couple of quiet days before my spin around the reservoir.
See you on the line!
